Heat vs. Spurs Game I Wrap Up

Game I of the NBA playoffs turned out to be one of the most exciting basketball games I’ve seen this entire year. The Spurs were able to hold on and win it in the final seconds behind star play from Tony Parker.  My predictions of double doubles from both Tony Parker and Tim Duncan in Game I.  Despite being incorrect the Spurs did come one step closer to upsetting LeBron James and the Miami Heat.  **BTW that shot that Tony Parker hit in the final seconds of the game to seal the deal was INSANE.  He had LeBron defending him down on one knee and he still hit it, may have been the most clutch performances I’ve ever seen in basketball.  He dribbles through the entire Miami defense while almost losing the ball a couple times, going to his knee while keeping his dribble, and then pump fakes the shit out of Lebron to get off the shot.  Tony Parker tooled on LeBron in those closing seconds last night.  That is why I feel its only right to compare one of Lebron’s most clutch shots to the one Tony Parker made last night.

Now let’s compare this to one of LeBron’s most clutch shots:

I don’t even know both shots are sooo crazy.  What I do know is that everyone is counting out the Spurs because they’re old and past their prime.  If they play like they did last night, and Tony Parker can continue making shots for himself, the Heat are in for a tough series.

Below is the first poll we’re doing here at Philosophizer:  Which of the two shots from above was the more clutch shot.  1) Tony Parker Last Second Bank Shot to Secure the Victory, or 2) LeBron’s Go Ahead Three Pointer at the Buzzer

Game 2 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for Sunday at 8PM in Miami.  Should be a great game with Parker hopefully able to hold back the Heat and get a nice 2-0 cushion for the Spurs.
